Other Workshops

We are happy to negotiate and try to create themed days for any events you might have coming up. With enough notice, a play or themed day could be produced in most subjects.

All we need is a topic from you and any ideas you might have about how you would like the day to run.

Some of our previous workshops and activities include:

Choices:- An interactive hour long workshop for P6/P7/S1. In one hour the group devised and performed a play based on the theme of choices. The structure and scene ideas were given - the rest was up to the group.

Media and advertising:- A workshop for P6/7, S1/2 involving producing a 'News at Tens' style bulletin and advertisements selling a range of products.

Egyptians:- A P4-7 based workshop performing a re-enactment of the mummification process of an Egyptian Pharaoh as part of a History in Action day.

Save Our Village:- A P6/7 workshop where in which the group had to fight to save the village. Planners had decided to destroy our village by building a road through the middle of it. We held a public meeting, press conference, meeting with the developers etc.

New Settlers:- The workshop, aimed at P3/4/5 is based upon the idea of a group of people leaving earth and starting a new life on another planet. They are asked to make tough choices and decisions starting from what to take with them and what to leave behind. We follow the new settlers through their journey and first days on the planet.

Myths and Legends Including work on

• Chinese creation myth,
• Theseus and the Minotaur and other Greek Myths,
• Pandora's Box
• Beowulf-Grendel

Any of these ideas could be developed into many formats whether it be a two day project or a two hour session.
